Phillip and Holly met with smattering of boos after NTAs win

Joel Dommett was back to host the National Television Awards on Thursday night which saw a number of soaps and TV shows winning a trophy. However, when it came to the Best Daytime Show award, fans were left fuming that This Morning scooped the trophy once again.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were met with a smattering of boos and cheers from the crowds when the pair celebrated their win.

Some of the other shows nominated for the award were Loose Women and The Chase.

However, it was ITV’s This Morning which scooped the award, which was presented by Strictly Come Dancing’s Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin.

And the booing didn’t go unnoticed by fans at home, with some even thinking ITV had tried to drown out the heckles.
