Priya ships Liam and Cain in Emmerdale as he admits to a kiss

Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) alluded to Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) that he had kissed someone in Emmerdale – but she really got the wrong end of a very long stick.

At the start of the week, Liam was feeling lonely and lost following Leyla’s (Roxy Shahidi) time in rehab.

As Leyla attempted to adjust to life back in the village away from her and Liam’s home, he was enjoying Bernice’s (Samantha Giles) company at the salon.

Bernice was being kind to Liam and he took advantage of that, kissing her right after spritzing his body with water (don’t ask).

In a simple case of misunderstanding, Bernice accidentally told Leyla about the kiss after incorrectly observing her body language while she was chatting to Liam.

As Leyla put distance between herself and her husband, Liam didn’t quite know what to do with himself tonight and attempted to occupy his mind by hoovering the car.

When Priya spotted him, she approached and listened as Liam told her about his latest relationship challenge.

‘I kissed someone’, Liam admitted.

‘Who?!’, Priya said.

Liam didn’t want to make the situation worse, so just told Priya he kissed a ‘good friend’ who he had known for some time.

And Priya thought he meant Cain!

We’re here for it though – Liam and Cain (Jeff Hordley) have struck up quite the friendship in recent years.

Cain was a pillar of support for Liam after he lost Leanna, and when Faith’s (Sally Dexter) terminal cancer diagnosis was revealed, the doctor was there to offer advice to his mate.

Oh, and Liam also wears a leather jacket when he’s around Cain sometimes – just to really impress him.
