The show from the makers of The Bay and Grace has already aired in Ireland in 2022 but will finally be coming to screens in the UK. The series is set in Ireland and follows no-nonsense detective DI Colette Cunningham (played by Paula Malcolmson), who is a respected officer among her Merseyside Police Serious Crime Squad colleagues. But Colette’s life is turned upside-down when she gets a call from the Garda in Dublin, who tells her about the discovery of a young woman’s body with the detective named as last of kin.
Colette will be consumed by grief and searching answers after her daughter Stacey left home 20 years ago at the tender age of 16.
Stacey didn’t want to be found with Colette trying to figure what happened to her girl.
She also decides to continue working as she goes back to Ireland as she confronts her past and family truths come to light.

“I’ve actually wanted to play a cop for ages and I’ve fantasised about writing my own cop show too. I worked with my beloved mentor David Milch on Deadwood, who created Hill Street Blues and NYPD Blue, and he always told me I should really play a cop, so it’s something I’ve thought about for a long time.
“I just think that there’s so much that we can bring to these roles as women that we haven’t seen before on TV, so I’ve been looking for that opportunity to subvert the expectations of the audience.
