Loose Women host Ruth Langsford discussed arguing with her spouse Eamonn Holmes on Monday’s instalment of the ITV talk show, with the 63-year-old talking about the struggles involved with taking her wedding ring off if she’s “angry”.

Ruth began: “The thing is it can take the momentum away because my rings don’t come off easily so if I was having a row and was like, ‘Right, well, anyway, I’m really angry now…'”

She showed viewers how difficult it was to remove her wedding ring which was tightly fitted around her finger.

Her co-star Coleen Nolan revealed she “never ever took” her wedding ring off when she was married.

Ruth replied: “I only take my rings off to clean them occasionally.”

Coleen said she didn’t even take it off to clean it, telling ITV viewers wearing a ring symbolised something really deep for her.

Earlier on, Ruth had to speak to This Morning host Holly Willoughby who had returned to the ITV magazine programme following a week off.

While Holly was away from screens, her longtime co-host Phillip Schofield admitted to having an affair with a much younger colleague and quit the show altogether.

Viewers wondered if Holly would be returning to the programme, but she put on a brave face and started Monday’s programme by reading a statement about the controversy.

When Holly and Ruth exchanged words, viewers felt it seemed “awkward” as it happened days after Eamonn slammed This Morning and Phillip in a scathing GB News interview.

“Hi there, Ruth,” Holly began as Ruth said: “We love Adam Lambert too.

“Coming up on Loose Women we’re exposing the big social media exam scam which could be affecting your children or your grandchildren.

“Also here is a question, is it ever ok to take off your wedding ring during a row?”
