As the nine contestants settle into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! jungle, so have the bugs and creatures that come with the territory. On Tuesday night, Jill Scott and Owen Warner were the lucky winners of the camp task where they could spend a night in an RV with beds and pillows. When looking around their new home, Scarlette Douglas noticed the spider in the corner and ran out, before Mike Tindall saved the spider and released him in the wild. However, as Mike played a joke on the camp by exposing the spider, Scarlette broke down in tears.

The RV that sits in the back of the main camp finally went off on Tuesday evening and gave the campmates a shock.

As the boot opened, Jill read the instructions that were revealed: “Celebrities, inside this box, are the keys to the RV where two of you can sleep in comfort.

“The keys to unlock the box are hanging around camp good luck.”

The campmates then had to work together around the camp, lugging a chest with them to see which keys would open the trunk.

However, the campmates were disappointed when they finally got the chest open and were faced with another smaller chest inside.

As keys poured out of the RV’s exhaust, they learned they had to work their way through the pile of keys to open it.

Once they managed to get the main chest open, nine keys were revealed for each campmate, who took turns to try the padlocks on the RV.

Boy George was hopeful to get the RV but in the end, Jill and Owen opened them, earning them a bed each inside.

Taking a peek inside what could have been his new home, Boy George joked: “It’s like the 70s gone wrong.”

As Jill, Owen, Mike and Scarlette looked around, Scarlette spotted a large spider in the corner of the room before sprinting out.

Mike decided that the best thing to do would be to collect the spider from inside and release it into the wild.

Cupping it into his hand, Mike exclaimed: “It’s a biggie [Mike showed it to the camp],” before he opened it up and the spider ran out on top of his hands.

Seeing the spider and how fast it crawled out of his hands, Scarlette screamed and began to cry.

Watching Mike take it away, she admitted: “I know it’s an overreaction.”

However, Chris Moyles comforted her and expressed: “It’s not, it’s your reaction,” with Sue Cleaver adding: “You have a phobia!”

Scarlette also began to get frustrated with Charlene White over the cooking situation and decided to drop hints to see if she would let up.

She had previously spoken with Boy George beforehand about how Charlene had taken over the kitchen and how they both felt a little controlled.

During the meal tonight, Charlene once again took control and left Scarlette standing to one side annoyed.

Babatunde Aleshe asked if she was ok, to which she responded that she was fine but didn’t feel like she could say something.

Later as they were cleaning up, Scarlette announced to the camp: “Tomorrow I think we need to change up the roles. People should do something they haven’t done before, change it up.”
