Should ITV keep Jeremy Clarkson on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? Take our poll
Jeremy Clarkson's future as host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? has been in jeopardy since his controversial newspaper column about Meghan Markle.
And despite a flurry of reports saying the former Top Gear presenter had been axed from the ITV show, the channel has since said he's still hosting it, with Clarkson himself telling social media he had 'not been sacked'.
ITV says it's contractually committed to another series, which has already been recorded.
A spokesperson for the channel said: "As we have said for several weeks, ITV is contractually committed to a further series of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? (which has now been recorded).
"There are no further commissioning commitments beyond that currently as is typical with such shows where we make commissioning decisions on a series-by-series basis.

"Therefore for the avoidance of doubt neither Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? nor Jeremy Clarkson have been cancelled."
The 62-year-old sparked huge controversy with his mean-spirited column about the Duchess of Sussex back in December.
Clarkson said in the aftermath that his bosses at ITV and Amazon, who make his Farm Show and the Grand Tour, were 'incandescent' after his decision to share his disturbing thoughts with the public.
The streaming giant was swift to cut ties with the star, reportedly saying they have no plans to work with him after next year.
After all the hoo-ha, earlier this year The Mirror decided to 'ask the audience' and find out what our readers thought about it all – and it was far from a 50/50 response!
In answer to our poll ' Should ITV axe Jeremy Clarkson after Meghan column? ', just 252 of you answered 'yes'.
But a sizeable 1,826 of you answered 'no' – and very much want him to stay with the channel.
A fair bit of time has passed since his bitter column – has your opinion changed?
