Spoilers: Abi touched by Wendy's kind gesture in Coronation Street
Wendy Crozier (Roberta Kerr) announced her retirement in tonight’s Coronation Street, after recommending Abi (Sally Carman) and Alfie return home.
Earlier in the episode, Wendy was disappointed to discover Abi snooping around on her laptop, but remained calm while Abi made her feelings clear. She was upset by what Wendy had written and took offence to her choice of adjectives.
However, once the dust had settled, Wendy made sure to read out all of the positives in her report, describing as brave, capable and determined. She pointed out that Abi was too focused on her flaws to see the good things that she was doing.
Touched by her comments, Abi shed a tear as Wendy recommended that she and Alfie be allowed to go back to living with Kevin, and that she thought this should happen sooner rather than later.

Wendy then dropped the bombshell that after she has finished working with the mother and son, she would like to retire. Abi disagreed, saying that she was too good at her job to retire yet and that she couldn’t have got to where she is now without her.
