The comedian, TV personality and writer was revealed on Tuesday as the next famous face set to take to the famous dance floor next month. She said she “can’t wait” to get started on the BBC competition. Announcing the news on ITV’s Lorraine, stand-in host Ranvir Singh addressed the Strictly Come Dancing curse and asked: “Have you had this chat with your husband?”

Ranvir told the comedian: “We couldn’t show a clip of you on The Mash Report talking about Strictly a few years ago because it was very saucy!

“You talk about the Strictly curse, and it’s absolutely hilarious, right?

“Now you’re on Strictly a few years later… have you had this chat with your husband? Is he alright about it?”
