Strictly fans furious as show bosses pull 'unfair' move that could put contestant in dreaded dance off again | The Sun
STRICTLY fans are furious after the show's bosses pulled an 'unfair' move that could put a contestant in the dreaded dance off again.
Only six celebrities remain in the BBC dance competition after Ellie Taylor and professional partner Johannes Radebe were eliminated on Sunday.
This weekend the famous faces will be showing off their best moves as part of Musical Week.
Children’s TV star Molly Rainford, 22, and partner Carlos Gu are going to give their best rendition of the Charleston to Hot Honey Rag from Chicago.
However Strictly fans think that the show's choice is a recipe for disaster.
One fumed on discussion forum Reddit: "The song and dance choice for Molly has made me irrationally angry. She’s already on the back foot with the public and now to give her an iconic Georgia / Gio dance that will draw comparisons? Ugh."
Another replied to their post with: "I hadn’t thought of this – it’s such a fun and perfect Charleston song I would have thought it puts her in a good position but you could be right."
"Ooh georgia and gios charleston was one of my faves Molly will have a high bar for that," a third chimed in.
A fourth added: "They really should have given her another song."
Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice performed the same dance to the same song back in 2015.
