Helen Skelton is suffering with a common foot condition which could prove a problem ahead of Saturday’s long awaited Strictly Come Dancing return to Blackpool Tower. The Countryfile presenter is currently struggling to put on her shoes due to the issue. She told Rylan Clark on Monday’s edition of It Takes Two how her bunions are causing her pain ahead of week nine of the dancing competition.
Gorka Marguez and Helen opened up on their preparations for the next round of dancing on the BBC One show.
The dancing professional told host Rylan about the dance: “There’s no spoiler, like she [Helen] said, wait for whatever dance we do next.
“But this dance, it’s about enjoying it, but I think this is a spoiler isn’t it?”
Rylan interjected and referred to a previous conversation they shared about Blackpool: “You have mentioned the ‘B’ word.”

Helen joked: “What Blackpool? Or bunions?” to a laughing crew as Rylan revealed: “A bit of both, I am getting a birds eye view of a bunion here.”
The former Blue Peter presenter explained: “My feet are so swollen I can’t put my shoes on.”
Helen will be hoping her painful feet will not stop her from reaching the famed ballroom of Blackpool Tower on Saturday night.
They will be performing the Quickstep to the Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse version of Valerie.
Looking ahead to the next week of battle for the Glitterball trophy, Helen told Rylan what Blackpool means to her family too.
She explained: “We’re seeing this as a big weekend away, the kids will get to see each other and hang out.
“Still now, to this day, I take the kids to Blackpool and we play the penny slots.”
Last Saturday, the dancing duo scored a highly respectable score of 32 out of a possible 40 on week eight of the competition.

They received high praise from the judges as they danced the Salsa to the huge hit Despacito.
The TV presenter will be hoping her bunion issue subsides ahead of Saturday and she does not become the second hopeful to leave the competition due to injury.
Ex-footballer Tony Adams was forced to withdraw from the competition as presenter Tess Daley explained: “Due to an injury sustained on Saturday night, Tony is unable to take part in the dance-off and has decided to withdraw from the competition.
“This means there will be no dance-off tonight and Tyler and Dianne are through to Blackpool.”
An emotional Tony told viewers: “I came in here with one message, if you’ve got an issue with mental health then please don’t suffer in silence and reach out for help.
“Little did I know that I was going to learn a lot about myself in the process.
“I thought this ‘journey’ rubbish was nonsense, but my God the rollercoaster of emotion.”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to the Blackpool Tower at 7.45pm on Saturday on BBC One.
