Suki kills Ben in EastEnders as she leaves him to die from drugs overdose?

Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) made a bold move in EastEnders, as she left a poorly Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) to die, after stumbling upon him in a heap of rubbish.

The matriarch, as viewers know, holds Ben personally responsible for the death of Jags (Amar Adatia), after he withdrew her son’s prison protection last year in a bid to teach Kheerat (Jaz Singh Deol) a lesson.

Kheerat, however, reiterated during Monday’s (August 1) offering of the serial drama that Suki herself is as much to blame for Jags’ demise as Ben, given that it was she who sent him to prison in the first place.

Ben, meanwhile, has been spiralling out of control since his rape ordeal, and with Jags’ death on his conscience, he’s sought solace in drugs, much to the dismay of mum Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).

In a bid to make Ben prioritise his daughter, Kathy instructed him to not miss Lexi’s dance exam. Feeling guilty, Ben vowed he would be there – and he followed through on his promise, arriving just in the nick of time to see Lexi succeed.

Lexi, however, questioned her dad’s lateness, resulting in something of a heated showdown between the two, as Ben lashed out at his daughter.

Consumed with guilt, he texted James, before heading to a party with him, where he proceeded to take drugs and drink repeatedly.

He subsequently made out with James, but with the drugs in his system, he started to hallucinate, and saw rapist Lewis Butler (Aidan O’Callaghan) staring back at him.

Traumatised, he pulled away from James, who called him a cab, which took him back to the Square.

A very drunk and drugged up Ben left Lexi a voicemail, promising to make her congratulatory takeaway, but he struggled to stand up, and ultimately collapsed into a pile of rubbish.

Suki, meanwhile, heard a rogue mobile phone ringing, and followed the sound until she found a distressed Ben, who reached out his hand, hoping she would save him.

But Suki left him there!

Ben subsequently lost consciousness. Will he be okay? Or has Suki just inadvertently played a role in his demise?
