During Saturday’s Strictly Come Dancing, the remaining contestants took to the ballroom floor in a bid to fight for their place in the competition. Dressed up in costume for Halloween week, the judges were also back on the panel to give their feedback about the celebrities’ routines.

However, it didn’t take long for viewers to comment on Tess Daly’s outfit as the host and Claudia Winkleman introduced the show.

Taking to Twitter, Kirsty Palmer penned: “Tess’ boots do not go with that dress.

“Both are separately fabulous but bad together. Although frankly, no one can compete with Craig-Morticia.”

Karen M Renton said: “Tess ruined a perfectly nice dress by adding a pair of sparkly wellies.”

While user @TheWeeFudgeCo tweeted: “Who dressed Tess tonight…..great boots, great dress….but together?”

“Claudia looks amazing, as usual, Tess doesn’t! Love the boots but not with that dress sorry,” user H went on to say.
