THE Chase viewers were distracted during the recent episode after learning a contestant's unusual name.
Host Bradley Walsh welcomed Chris, Chloe, Ekow and Jo into the ITV studio to take on the chaser, Shaun Wallace in the hopes to win some cash.
But just minutes into Ekow's name being shown on the panel, viewers couldn't help but make jokes about it's resemblance to the word echo.
Taking to Twitter to make fun of the contestants name, one viewer joked: "Ekow, Ekow, Ekow, Ekow, Ekow, Ekow, Ekow, Ekow, #TheChase."
Another fan wrote: "Ekow…I’ve heard that name before #TheChase," added a second as another penned: "#TheChase I keep hearing Ekow's name."
A third joked: "Ekow just made an Echo joke, gloves are off off off off off off #TheChase."

While a fifth added: "If Ekow gets through , he'll be bouncing off the walls #TheChase."
After his team mate Chloe managed to get a staggering £25,000 after taking a risk and choosing the high offer, Ekow had a lot to live up to.
But despite his efforts the football coach only managed to answer two questions correctly in the cash builder round.
The 28-year-old explained he wanted to be in the final chase and made the decision to take the minus offer of -£2,000, leaving the group with a total off £23,000.

But despite giving it their best shot, The dark Destroyer beat the team with 14 seconds spare.
Contestant's choosing the lower offer normally sparks outrage amongst fans.
Taking to Twitter, one annoyed viewer wrote: "That Ekow on The Chase is a f*****g idiot."
Another exclaimed: "Ekow on The Chase… thick as f**k."
A third raged: "That Ekow on The Chase is a p****."
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
