The View fans slam show and claim 'they won't watch' as guest co-host is announced after week-long hiatus | The Sun
THE VIEW fans have slammed the show and claimed they won't watch anymore.
Its "underwhelming" guest co-host was announced after a week-long hiatus and lavish Bahamas trip.
The View has announced its first guest co-host after a week-long break and the choice is not sitting well.
"TOMORROW: Alyssa Farah Griffin joins us back at the Hot Topics table to guest co-host!" the show's official Twitter tweeted on Sunday.
The ladies filmed their late June-early July week at a pricey resort in Nassau, Bahamas – using a re-run for the last episode that week.
The talk show then took a week-long hiatus with no new episodes.

'GET SOMEONE BETTER'
Fans are excited that the show will be back to its "regularly scheduled programming" after a wild two weeks – one in the Bahamas, one of radio silence.
Alyssa, a self-declared conservative CNN pundit, per her own Twitter page – has been on the show before and held a position in Donald Trump's office.
Many felt like this wasn't the triumphant return they were hoping for.
"Get someone better," one replied to the Twitter announcement.

"Oh no… ENOUGH already!!!!" wrote another.
"Please no!" ripped a third.
A fourth explained: "I love when she’s on but she needs to be more aggressive. The Conservative chair is a hard seat."
CONSERVATIVE CHOICE
Indeed, a staple of the ABC show is its having both the left and right wings represented at the round table.
Meghan McCain’s stint was filled with in-fighting, but after the comparatively high-profile figure left the show in 2021 – they haven’t replaced her with another conservative full-time.
Another agreed: "A strong Conservative voice needs to be heard. Makes the show more interesting."
Some other guest co-hosts have included Condoleezza Rice, Eboni K. Williams, and a batch of others including brunette Alyssa since Meghan left.
"The View has had two successful conservative co-hosts in its 24-year history, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Meghan McCain," a Variety editor recently told Fox News.
Elisabeth, who torched the flame of fame as a contestant on Survivor, sat at the Hot Topics table for a decade.
She once got into a screaming match with Rosie O'Donnell, while Meghan's long list of infamous fights include Joy saying she "didn't miss her" while on maternity leave.
BAHAMAS BLUNDERS
Fans have felt the show has lost its air of seriousness as well as an inability to find a solidly famous right-winger.
Viewers were shocked when hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, and guest host Ana Navarro jetted off to a working vacation to begin with.
To make matters worse one of the five episodes of that tropical trip – Friday's episode – was a repeat, which means the hosts only gave them four new episodes while away instead of five.
Viewers didn't understand why the hosts couldn't film a whole week's worth of episodes while there.
Whoopi, 66, alone made numerous on-air blunders while the show was filming in the Bahamas.
In a recent episode, Whoopi forgot her co-host's name after introducing musical guest, Ne-Yo.
The Oscar-winner attempted to pass the hosting duties over to her talk show colleague when she forgot co-host Sunny's name.
"And I think… what's your name?"
Whoopi recovered quickly as she spouted, "Sunny… Sunny has the first question."
She also pronounced Saturday Night Live's Chloe Fineman's name wrong.
"And she's also a scene-stealer in the reboot of Father of the Bride, please welcome Chloe Fine-a-man," she said.
Whoopi apologized and corrected herself multiple times to make sure she said the comedian's name right.
While introducing guests Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, Whoopi had a bit of trouble pronouncing the name of their podcast, Las Culturistas.
After trying and only being able to say it as Las Culturastas instead, she eventually just gave up and one of her co-hosts helped her out.
Also while in the Bahamas, after messing up Chloe's name, Whoopi gave the outro for the show just as her cue cards flew in the air due to a gust of wind.
"Ah snap," she cursed as the paper hit her coffee mug before cameras cut to commercials.
VIEW FROM THE TOP
The Sun exclusively went inside the lavish Rosewood resort where she and her co-hosts stayed.
An oceanside six-bedroom villa-setting has customers paying about $14,358 a night.
The three-bedroom penthouse suite ranges up to $12,358 a night, while a one-bedroom ocean-view suite costs around $2,577.
Viewers called out the hosts for taking the luxury vacation and "flaunting" it on social media as well.
Critics claimed that many viewers at home have been at home struggling financially.
One sarcastically wrote: “How nice. Those who are struggling to put food on their tables and gas in their cars can see a vacation spot firsthand on TV.”
Another tweeted: “Great visual. Living it up in the Bahamas while the average Joe [and] Jane can’t afford to fill up their car with gas."
