AceShowbiz -“The Voice” aired its fourth round of its Battles in the Monday, October 24 episode. In the new outing, more singers took the stage to have a face-off against their teammates as the coaches tried gather the best of the best singers on their respective teams.
The first battle were between Kique and Tanner Howe from Team Gwen Stefani as they sang “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” by Simple Minds. Both of them nailed the performance, but John Legend admitted that he would choose Tanner. However, the other coaches think Kique’s voice was too unique. Gwen also called Kique’s voice “rare, original and stylized.” She chose Kique as the winner of the Battle.
Team Blake Shelton‘s Kevin Hawkins and Hillary Torchiana, who belted out “Preach” by John, then followed it up. Kevin looked confident and showed so much charisma on stage. Hillary did well during the performance, but Kevin appeared to perform better. Blake sent Kevin to the Knockouts.
The next Battle featured Sasha Furtado and Devix from Team Camila Cabello singing “Electric Feel” by MGMT. Sasha’s great and the coaches all agreed that she would further show her full capability if she had the right song. As for Devix, he already set himself apart with his vocal stylings and Camila decided to keep him on the competition. However, Sasha’s too good to pass up so Gwen hit her steal button to get Sasha on her team.
Kim Cruse and David Andrew from Team John then took the stage to sing “Heartbreak Anniversary” by Giveon. After the performance, John praised David for “the joy” he brought to the stage, telling him that he really “delivered” tonight. As for Kim, John loved the “control” Kim had “over [her] instrument” and called her “an elite artist.” Unfortunately for David, John picked Kim as the winner.
Team Blake’s Kate Kalvach and Madison Hughes then battled it out, singing “Every Rose Has It’s Thorn” by Poison. Kate impressed everyone during the performance with her easy presence and her great vocals. John and Gwen both raved about Kate and Blake agreed that Kate performed better than Madison. He chose Kate as the winner.
Rounding out the night were Ian Harrison and Alyssa Witrado from Team Gwen. They hit the stage that night to sing “happier than ever” by Billie Eilish. John liked “the depth” and “presence” in Ian’s voice, while noting that the song was very much in Alyssa’s wheelhouse. It was a hard decision for Gwen, but she eventually went with Alyssa. Ian’s journey didn’t stop there as he was stolen by John.
