This Morning’s Wednesday presenter revealed as Josie Gibson shares gushing post

Josie Gibson has revealed Craig Doyle is set to co-present This Morning alongside Holly Willoughby on Wednesday.

Taking to Instagram, Josie, 38, who has joined Holly, 42, on Monday and Tuesday for her return to the ITV show after Phillip Schofield's dramatic exit, shared the news.

Alongside a radiant snap with Holly, Josie wrote: "Thank you to this legend and her infectious energy!!! @hollywilloughby you are such a fabulous broadcaster…loved our last two days together.

"Passing the baton onto @craigadoyle I will be out in the sunshine bringing you an incredible competition from a canal boat. Don't miss us tomorrow from 10am on @thismorning #hollywilloughby #thismorning #canal #canalboat #womensupportingwomen."

This update was warmly received in the comment section, while many of Josie's followers praising her own contributions through such a turbulent time for the programme.

"[You're] brilliant Josie such a lovely energy about you, love the show and all people in it", "Josie you are so beautiful, inside and out. You and @staceysolomon are cut from the same cloth! Wonderfully infectious, happy loving humans xxxx" and "You're a natural. Doing a great job! Although you & Craig Mon-Thurs would be ideal," read various responses.

A handful more ITV viewers went on to add: "Hopefully we will see much more of you presenting This Morning – you are a much needed breath of fresh air @josiegibson85", "If it were up to me, you would be a daily fixture on the presenting couch! Love you & @craigadoyle presenting together", "Love when you and Craig present it together" and "You definitely deserve a full time place as a host, you're like sunshine on the TV."

Holly had been absent from This Morning since her former co-worker Phillip, 61, stepped down after 21 years with immediate effect last month.

Since then, Phillip has resigned from ITV all together and was dropped by his talent agency YMU after admitting to an “unwise, but not illegal” affair with a young male colleague on This Morning.

After the news was revealed, Holly took to Instagram to share a statement on 27 May, which read: "It has taken time to process yesterday's news.

"When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not. It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie."

Holly made her return to This Morning on Monday 5 June, where she addressed the Phillip scandal in an emotional statement to viewers at the start of the show, admitting she was "shaken and troubled" over the news.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
