TOWIE’s Jordan Brook left confused as Chloe says he ‘came on too strong”
TOWIE's Jordan Brook was left confused after his budding romance with Chloe Brockett came to an abrupt end after she told him he was coming on "too strong."
The 25 year old gave his side of the story on Sunday night's episode of The Only Way Is Essex – telling Amy Childs that they started texting after growing closer at a wellness retreat before things escalated further.
Jordan said: "It's all been a bit up in the air, I haven't spoken to her at all since that day. After the wellness retreat, me and her started texting loads 'cause she was asking and being supportive about my mum, all that sort of chat which was nice.
"Then she invited me out with the girls up to London, and there was a lot of alcohol involved, it was a messy kind of day. We went out after, went to the club after, we was kissing in the club." To which Amy replied: "You and Chloe? Proper like snogging?"
But as quickly as the romance started, it was over, with Chloe making the trip to see him in Southend to ask for space as he was "coming on too strong."
Jordan continued: "Yeah, yeah – there's me thinking this is going well, we're getting on well. Then she comes to Southend and tells me that I'm coming on too strong."
Amy replied: "But you were snogging her literally in the club?"
Romantic Jordan then admitted he bought her a bunch of roses for a date they had, which Chloe then posted on social media – meaning her comments left him confused.
He said: "I definitely wasn't coming on strong, it's half-done my head a bit, because I think, 'How can she go and say that'? When we went out I bought her a big bunch of roses, she put a picture of all that up on her Instagram. It doesn't work out, it doesn't level up."
Trying to offer some support to the confused Jordan, Amy replied: "Thing about Brockett, she's very young still. Is it because she thinks it's too good to be true? Listen, I'm old, I'm 32, but when I was younger it was all about playing a bit of a game.
"Playing the game, saying things to guys to make you want them more, I don't know if that's what she's doing."
It wasn't to be, however, as later in the episode Chloe put an end to the relationship and said she wanted to just be friends with Jordan.
The conversation was cut short, though, as Chloe stormed off after being unhappy with Jordan saying the pair "had some fun together" before it ended.
Viewers were quick to be compassionate with Jordan after giving his side of the story – but some did say Chloe was right to be upset by his suggestion they "had some fun together".
Taking to Twitter one person wrote: "What's with these girls giving Jordan the cold shoulder he's such a lovely guy who knows how to treat a girl these girls are too used to dating bad boys and can't appreciate Jordan for the gent he is…#TOWIE".
Another said: "Jordan seems like such a nice guy! Why do these ladies keep blowing him off??!! #TOWIE".
However, some did see Chloe's point, with one writing: "'I bought her a big bunch of roses then she told me I was coming on too strong?'
"What's confusing you Jordan? #TOWIE".
Another wrote: "I can see why Chloe is concerned about people interpreting what Jordan is saying. Unfortunately nowadays it could be seen and taken the wrong way. #TOWIE".
