Toyah jailed for murder in Coronation Street as trial reaches a verdict?

Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) heads to court next week in Coronation Street as a trial into Imran Habeeb’s (Charlie de Melo) death gets underway.

Viewers will remember that before Toyah and Imran were involved in the car crash, Imran had just confessed about his lies and betrayal.

During the aftermath, we discovered Toyah made no effort to brake or swerve the car as she approached the brick wall, leaving DS Swain (Vicky Myers) to argue that she crashed with the intention of seriously injuring or killing Imran.

Coming up, an afternoon with baby Alfie leads to Toyah’s guilt increasing tenfold, as she apologises for taking Imran from him.

Back home, just as Leanne (Jane Danson) walks in, she overhears Toyah confessing everything to Spider (Martin Hancock), revealing that she lied to the police, crashed on purpose and wanted Imran dead!

The next day, as they head to court, Leanne tells Toyah not to say something she’ll regret and let her solicitor do the talking.

After Adam (Sam Robertson) and Kelly (Millie Gibson) take the stand, Imran’s mother tells the court how she saw Toyah kissing Spider and suspects she was having an affair behind Imran’s back.

When Leanne stands, she does her best to defend her sister but as Toyah listens, awash with guilt, she decides to have her say as well!

As the trial comes to an end, the jury prepares to deliver their verdict – but is Toyah heading to prison?
