Zoe Ball replaced on Radio 2 after health emergency | The Sun
RADIO 2 listeners were left shocked this morning after Zoe Ball was replaced on her Breakfast Show.
The broadcaster revealed that she had to miss her early morning slot after a health emergency on Monday.
Zoe, 52, was suddenly replaced by former Radio 1 host Vernon Kay for her weekday morning show.
After being inundated by messages from concerned fans, Zoe revealed she had to miss out due to a health emergency.
She told her followers on Twitter: "So, I've got Covid. But the good news is your man Vernon Kay is looking after y'all."
"Back soon," Zoe added, underneath a picture of her, Vernon, 48, and their radio pal Rylan smiling together.

Zoe had covered her face with a germ emoji and red stop sign, pointing a large arrow towards her face.
Her friends and fans were left devastated by the news and flooded the tweet with well-wishes.
Rylan wrote: “Noooooooooo,” while Louise Redknapp penned: "Hope you're OK, lovely."
“Really will miss you get well soon. Love Vernon though as well… Proper northern legend,” a fan chimed in.

Vernon – who stepped in for Zoe – informed fans of the schedule change on his social media, too.
"Couple of mornings on BBC Radio 2," he penned. "Get well quickly, Zoe. 5am wake up plays havoc with the eye bags."
It comes after Zoe shared a rare snap of her daughter Nelly as they enjoy a holiday together in Mallorca.
The sweet photo saw Nelly, 12, pouting into the camera as she rests her chin on her mum's head.
Zoe shares Nelly with ex-husband Norman Cook, aka Fatboy Slim. The former couple split in 2016 after tying the knot in 1999.
They are also parents to 21-year-old son Woody, who made his TV debut on The Circle 2 on September 24, 2019.
In 2020, Woody appeared alongside Zoe on Celebrity Googlebox.
