What engineering works are happening?

As less people tend to travel on Bank Holidays and in particular, Sundays, there is a lot of planned engineering works taking place on January 1, 2023.

The best thing you can do to ensure that your journey is not affected by the downgraded services is to check the planned engineering works.

In a lot of cases where work is planned, replacement bus services are scheduled.

Again, it is worth checking your journey in advance to make contingencies if planned engineering works may alter some of your route.

Situations can change instantly on the rail network so it always worth checking your journey well in advance of your intended travel time.

Even on your way to the station it is wise to check that nothing has affected your service.
