Biden blasted as ‘unfit’ after he forgets trip to Ireland
Republicans release AI-generated attack ad on Joe Biden
Joe Biden’s latest public blunder saw the US President forget about his trip to Ireland – less than two weeks after it took place. President Biden, who announced his 2024 re-election bid this week, has frequently been questioned about his cognitive fitness. The 80-year-old’s latest gaffe sparked widespread shock, with professional golfer Steve Flesch even blasting him as “cognitively unfit by a mile”.
To add further embarrassment, President Biden had to be reminded about the trip by a child on the White House lawn.
The incident, which fell on a Take Your Child to Work Day event at the White House, saw one child ask the US leader: “What was the last country you traveled to?”
He struggled to respond: “The last country I’ve traveled, I’m trying to think the last one I was in…
“I’ve been to 89 — I’ve met with 89 heads of state so far, so, uh…
“I’m trying to think. What was the last — where was the last place I was? It’s hard to keep track. Um, I was…”

After some time, a child shouted “Ireland!” to which Biden said: “You’re right, Ireland. That’s where it was.
“How did you know that?”
The blunder was even more bizarre considering that President Biden spent a significant time in Ireland speaking about his emotional and ancestral connection to the country.
Republican Representative Darrell Issa tweeted: “Today, Biden forgot the last foreign country he visited as president. It was Ireland. Week before last. And he wants four more years?”

Mr Flesch added: “This is disgraceful and why no country respects America right now.”
Conservative columnist Paul Bedard remarked: “He loved Ireland so much, he said he was staying – and he already forgot?”
Glenn Beck, a conservative talk show host, tweeted: “President Biden had to have a THREE-YEAR-OLD remind him that he was in Ireland two weeks ago. I don’t know, maybe his age IS an issue for the 2024 election … and for right now.”
When asked about concerns over his age at a press conference on Wednesday, President Biden said: “With regard to age, I can’t even say I guess how old I am, I can’t even say the number. It doesn’t register with me.
“I respect them taking a hard look at it — I’d take a hard look at it, as well. “I took a hard look at it before I decided to run, and I feel good. I feel excited about the prospects.”

It comes in the same week that President Biden was caught using a ‘cheat sheet’ during a press conference, which suggested he had advance knowledge of a question from a journalist.
The note held by the US President appeared to show what Los Angeles Times reporter Courtney Subramanian was going to ask him during the Q&A portion of the conference.
President Biden has been ridiculed for relying on detailed cheat sheets in the past.
Back in February, the White House physician said that the US President remains healthy, vigorous and fit to successfully execute his duties.
However, the physical, which provided a detailed insight into President Biden’s medical history and his current health and fitness, did not include a cognitive test.
