Brit tourist found dead lying on sunbed on Crete holiday with his wife after suddenly falling ill after going for a swim | The Sun
A BRITISH tourist was found dead on a sunbed after suddenly falling ill while on holiday on a Greek island.
The 62-year-old was enjoying the sun in Crete with his wife when he decided to go for a swim on the beach of Stalida.
At some point, he felt unwell so he returned to his sunbed next to his wife.
But he died right as he lied down on the sunbed, e-Kriti reported.
An ambulance was called and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
An autopsy is expected to reveal the cause of death.
