BRYN Parry CBE has passed away "peacefully and surrounded by family" after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Parry is one of Britain's best known countryside cartoonists and founder of Help for Heroes.
A friend of Bryn's told The Sun: "Bryn Parry died this afternoon, at home and surrounded by his family, and peacefully."
The Prince of Wales said he is “deeply sad” to hear that Parry has died.
He tweeted: "Deeply sad to hear that Bryn Parry has passed away. A life-affirming, inspirational man, his work with

And in a tweeted tribute, HRH called him an “inspirational man”.
Following ten years in the army, Bryn gave up his regular commission in The Royal Green Jackets to make a living from art.
He and his wife Emma, began Bryn Parry Studios in a damp cellar in 1986.
But over the next 23 years they built BPS into a well-known brand producing high quality gifts based on Bryn’s designs as well as undertaking hundreds of commissions.

In 2007 following a visit to wounded soldiers in hospital, Bryn and Emma founded and ran Help for Heroes.
With the help of The Sun newspaper, they launched a campaign to raise funds for a pool at Headley Court. Help for Heroes was born.
While CEO, Bryn created Hero bear, the iconic H4H Stretcher Bearer and medal logos as well as those of Battle Back and the Phoenix of Defence Recovery.
