Her partner Joshua said the group was descending a steep section of path when Ms Farringdon slipped.
He wrote online: ‘I glanced back when I heard Carly screaming my name as she slipped on loose ground to the waterfall below.
‘My daughters didn’t see her fall but were haunted by my reaction. I got them tucked into the hill before I ran down to find Carly unresponsive and with significant injuries to her body and head.
‘The air ambulance and coastguard were called, and my sister and I carried my kids off the hill.
‘Once I got them back to safety back home, I spent two days in Cardiff hospital with Carly on life support. I asked the chaplain to marry us but she never regained consciousness and a ceremony couldn’t be conducted.’

Coroner Patricia Morgan said: ‘She sustained a catastrophic head injury and sadly despite extensive medical efforts including helicopter transfer, neurology care, and intensive care she did not survive.’
The hearing in Pontypridd was told the medical cause of death was given as traumatic brain injury and right brachial artery thrombus (operated) and right upper limb ischaemia.
Ms Morgan returned a verdict of accidental death.
Josh is raising money for the Welsh Air Ambulance in memory of Ms Farringdon by walking from Lands End to John O’Groats.
