Controversial singer who had oral sex on stage opens up about Mormon childhood

The controversial singer who made headlines for receiving oral sex from a fan on stage has opened up about her religious upbringing.

Brazilian artist MC Pipokinha, real name Doroth Helena de Sousa Alves, is best known for her X-rated antics which also include allowing cats to lick her nipples and entering the cockpit of a plane to flash the pilot.

But in a recently resurfaced interview with local news outlet G1 the funk artist, 24, claimed she was adopted by a Mormon family and had a much stricter childhood than her raunchy escapades might suggest.

"My mother is a woman of great faith," she told the publication.

"She made us pray when she woke up, before lunch and before bed, to read the scriptures."

The singer also confessed her mum only allowed religious music to be played in the family home in Capivari de Baixo, southern Brazil – a very different sound to what fans of the X-rated musician know her for.

But despite the singer's strict upbringing, she claimed she always had a rebellious streak.

"I was always messy at school. I jumped over the wall to be with the boys, skipped class, but when I took it to study, I studied," she added.

MC Pipokinha is now rumoured to be considering a drastic career change, with the artist reportedly discussing swapping explicit pop for gospel music.

Local journalist Luiz Bacci took to Instagram to share the news, writing: "Sources: Pipokita is studying to record and pursue a gospel career."

Captioning the post, he added: "The star will have confided this desire to people close to her. What do you think?"

Social media users were not impressed, however, with one questioning: "Are you going to sexualize gospel music?? Careful, God doesn't tolerate this!!"

If she does make the switch, it will be a major change to her usual repertoire. At her most recent gig she was seen belting out lyrics while two backup dancers performed sex acts on a giant double-ended dildo with their mouths.

A video of the jaw-dropping incident posted to Twitter also showed MC Pipokinha getting involved, holding up another sex toy to show fans.

Social media users were quick to have their say over the racy incident, with one writing: "Everything I see about her is against my will."

Meanwhile another added: "My god why do i have eyes," while a third chimed in: "Oh my god I'm speechless."
