A deep fake video of a Polish woman who has been missing for over a decade has sparked outrage after appearing on social media.
The one-minute-long clip posted on TikTok shows missing Iwona WIeczorek who disappeared in 2010 after leaving a disco in the early hours of the morning.
Looking directly into the camera, the AI-generated woman begins by saying: ‘You do not recognise me? I am Iwona Wieczorek. Today I will tell you my story.’
In a case that gripped Poland, Wieczorek had been out clubbing with friends in the seaside resort of Sopot.
Deciding to leave early, she was last seen on CCTV near the home she shared with her parents.

The video ends with the woman asking Internet users to post their theories about what might have happened to her.

Meanwhile, readers have slammed the video for being tasteless, with one saying: ‘A disgusting and cruel treatment of the image of the missing woman and another blow to her mother.’
Another said: ‘Extreme idiocy to come up with something like that!
‘Anyway, what is the purpose of someone inventing such sick things and using her picture?? Is it supposed to make her loved ones happy??’
