Dismembered head, legs and arms found in suitcase in grim motorway discovery

A dismembered head, legs and a pair of arms were stumbled upon by a shocked passer-by in a huge suitcase beside a motorway in Malaysia.

The shocking discovery was made beside the North-South Expressway in Sungai Buloh, near the Rawang Selatan interchange northbound, in the north of the Southeast Asian country.

Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Shafaaton Abu Bakar said they found a dismembered torso yards from the suitcase at the scene, too.

The officer said: "We received a call about the find at around 11.45am.

"The partial body (from waist to neck) was found at the scene," she said, adding that the head, legs and arms were found inside the suitcase.

"The identity of the victim has yet to be determined. There were also no identification documents at the scene."

"We have classified the case as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code."

Supt Shafaaton said the body was sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital.

There were no identification documents found, reports said.

Investigations are being carried out for murder.

The post-mortem showed that the man had sustained blows and injuries inflicted by a sharp weapon.

Police said that the victim was a foreigner.

"So far, we have only recorded a statement from one witness," a spokesperson said.

"The post mortem results showed that the victim is a male and a foreigner. He is also believed to be a non-Muslim.

"The cause of death was injuries multiple blows and injuries from sharp objects."

The also police said they would continue with their investigation to find out the victim's identity.
