Fears grow for 14-year-old schoolgirl who vanished last night

Fears are growing for a 14-year-old schoolgirl who vanished last night from Dorset – as police launch an urgent hunt.
Evie Barnett was last seen in Piddlehinton, near Dorchester, west Dorset, at 8.50pm on Thursday evening.
Dorset Police searched throughout the night for the teenager, and are appealing for the help of the public to locate her.
Evie is described as 4ft 9ins and of medium build, with mousey-brown hair that was worn down.
She was last seen wearing a black top, green trousers and pink and green Nike trainers.

Officers have added that they are ‘very concerned’ about Evie, who has been ‘upset’ lately.
Inspector Luke Larcombe, of Dorset Police, said: ‘We have been carrying out searches and enquiries throughout the night in a bid to find Evie, but these have not been successful. We know Evie has been upset lately and we are very concerned for her.
‘I would urge anyone who has seen Evie, or knows of her whereabouts, to please contact us.
‘I would also like to make a direct plea to Evie if you see this – please get in touch and let us know where you are. We just want to check you are safe and well.’
Anyone with information or knowledge as to Evie’s whereabouts has been urged to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk.
