Bill Clinton, 76, tests positive for COVID: Former President says he has ‘mild case’ and is ‘grateful’ to be vaccinated and boosted
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton said in a tweet on Wednesday that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and experiencing mild symptoms.
The 76-year-old said is ‘doing fine overall’ and is ‘grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, which has kept my case mild’.
Clinton was last seen on the campaign trail in late October stumping for Democrats before the midterms.
His wife, former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary, tested positive in March and said she experienced cold-like symptoms.
In October 2021, he was diagnosed with sepsis and spent a week in hospital in California. In 2004 he had a quadruple bypass.
Few weeks ago, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director Rochelle Walensky and U.S. Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Robert Califf had also tested positive with COVID symptoms.
