King Charles III has approved a new bank holiday which will go ahead on Monday, September 19, for his late mother's funeral.

However, it is up to individual retailers whether they decide close or not.

Since the bank holiday announcement, stores across the country have slowly began to confirm their plans and whether they will remain open for the funeral.

A Government statement said: “Monday 19 September, the date of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s State Funeral, will be a national bank holiday.

"This will allow individuals, businesses and other organisations to pay their respects to Her Majesty and commemorate Her reign, while marking the final day of the period of national mourning."

Over the course of this week, the full slate of closures will be confirmed – but which stores in the UK have confirmed their bank holiday plans?
