I feared I would lose my unborn baby after being bashed in head with stiletto perfume bottle by love rival | The Sun
A NEW mum has spoken of her terror that she would lose her baby after she was viciously beaten by a love rival.
Amelia Duckworth, 21, was six weeks pregnant when her ex-boyfriend's new partner, Jessica Baker, assaulted her with a stiletto-shaped perfume bottle.
Ms Baker used the distinctive Carolina Herrera glass bottle to beat the young woman over the head in Poundbury, Dorset amid a row over social media comments.
Amelia told the Daily Mail that she found out after the assault that she was pregnant and was terrified of suffering a miscarriage after the attack hospitalised her last year.
She said: "I had an emergency scan because I was worried about what damage I'd done to the baby when I fell to the floor after being struck with the bottle.
"I feared that I had potentially miscarried as a result of the fall but thankfully there were no problems with the pregnancy.

She has since given birth to her daughter Bodhi safely by her new boyfriend, but admitted she was afraid that the attack might kill either her or her baby.
Baker reportedly shouted "I'm going to do you in" as she lunged at Amelia with the bottle, striking her twice in the head and slashing her face.
The thug pleaded guilty to actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon at Bournemouth Crown Court on Wednesday.

Amelia said that she believed the judge was lenient on her attacker because she too has become a mother since the attack.
Sentencing Baker, Judge Stephen Climie said: "You decided to take the law into your own hands and attack someone. This is a case which comfortably crosses the custody threshold.
