I paid £15 for a pub roast but what turned up was a joke | The Sun
A MAN paid £15 for a pub roast but could not believe his eyes when the meal arrived.
A hilarious video on TikTok captures the moment of shock at a restaurant near Salford, Manchester.
The customer had ordered a roast dinner of turkey and gammon, but the server only placed down a miniature serving onto the table.
The long rectangular plate was mostly empty save for a tiny stack of food in the middle.
The little arrangement was even smaller than the Yorkshire pudding next to it.
The pathetic pile of grub seems to include a few folded slices of meat, topped with a ball of stuffy and a leafy green garnish.

In the funny footage the hungry customer can be seen clamping his hand over his mouth in disbelief after the food has arrived.
He asked in dismay, "Where's the rest of it?", before questioning, "That is not it, is it?"
Another person at the table snickers in surprise, saying: "Wait, is that a roast? … Oh my goodness."
Someone else cackles with laughter in the background.

None of the other meals appear to have arrived yet when the clip was filmed and the other diners round the table all chuckle in confusion.
The TikToker who shared the video captioned it with the sarcastic comment, "What a lonely roast dinner".
Over the video she wrote the words, "Where's the rest of it".
Others were quick to crack up, commenting their shock at the portion size.
One commented, "That's like what I give my toddler", while another said, "I'd have taken it back…thats a sample".
A third TikToker joked "He's just been roasted" with several laughing face emojis.
And the original poster replied, "Rinced more like – poor guy's still starving".
The group had to buy snacks afterwards, she added.
She also confirmed in the comments that the restaurant was "Manchester, Salford way" and that the man had paid £15 for the meal.
Commenters were gobsmacked by the price, with one comparing the restaurant to other carvery chains.
They wrote: "Vs £12 for an extra large roast in a Toby or Stonehouse."
One said, "No mash no veg should have been half price", while another also commented on the lack of food, "Wot no gravy! or veg and spuds".
But someone did manage to spot the sauce, "Hang on whilst I get my glasses. Is it that brown stain on the plate?". The original poster confirmed, "It was a smudge".
Others joked by asking if the dish was meant to be a starter or taster to sample.

The surprising clip follows another diner who slammed a dry, overcooked and “depressing” roast dinner which cost £11.79 earlier this year.
The uni student was only served two bits of broccoli, four overdone carrots and two slices of gristly beef and turkey.
