"He introduced me to casinos and the roulette really f***ing got a hold of me," he said on the Anything Goes with James English podcast.
"[I was] 16 when he first took me into a casino. You could just sign someone in then – nowadays, you've got ID and all that but you could just sign someone in.
"I think I won – I think I won about £1,500 the first time I was in a casino, playing roulette."
Though he did stop for a while, Jason claims he just wanted to be like his dad, who always seemed to be winning money and being surrounded by women when his mum wasn't around.
The pair would scam bookies into giving them winnings with false betting slips and would call it "going to work".
However, it didn't always go that way as he claims over the years he has lost around £4million on his addiction.
He added: "They come out into the bookmakers 15/16 years ago and when they come out that's when I have lost over £4million on them disgusting f***ing roulette machines.
"When they come out, I walked into my local betting shop and I saw this big f***ing machine looking at me and I thought 'what the f*** is that?'
"I went over and it's roulette, put ya money in up to £100, which I did, I had that on red and it come in red.
"I thought 'f***ing hell that was handy', went up to the bird, gave her the thing, she's gave me £200."
He said that from that day he has been completely hooked on them.
However, the convicted fraudster claims he can no longer go into casinos to play roulette instead of the machines as he's apparently banned from them all.
He admitted once got around the rule by changing his numbers when the staff member wasn't looking.

"The last casino I was in was about three years back and I took a grand there in cash and I didn't take [any] cards and I thought if I see someone and they're winning I can borrow off them.
"I won about five or six grand. But I went there three years ago and he said you're banned and I said 'why' and he didn't tell me.
"He said we don't have to give you a reason and he said 'also you're banned from every single casino in the United Kingdom."
