England football star Jesse Lingard has sold his five-bedroom mansion for £3.25million after burglars stole £100,000 of jewellery and clothes in house raid.
The 29-year-old attacking midfielder was last targeted when he played for Manchester United last season when the club was playing Aston Villa on 15 January.
Burglars took jewellery, clothes and expensive items in the raid at his house in leafy Bowdon, Greater Manchester, where the average house price is almost £900,000.
Lingard was targeted just days before thieves robbed his former Manchester United teammate Victor Lindelof when the Swedish international was playing for the Red Devils against Brentford on January 19.

A source told The Sun: ‘He just wants rid of it after the break-in… He loved that house but didn’t feel safe after that, especially as he has a young daughter.’
During the pandemic he showed off his luxury five-bedroom house in an episode of MTV Cribs and led the cameras to his dressing room where his clothes, 28 caps and 96 pairs of trainers are kept.

Lingard talked through the importance of the room, explaining how looking at the caps each morning puts him in a positive mood for the start of the day.
He boasted of an impressive wardrobe full of designer clothes including suits and a henley jacket.
The mansion was complete with a swimming pool, cinema room and an impressive outdoor play area for his one-year-old daughter which includes a climbing frame and swing.

The footballer used the goal in his garden to practice during lockdown but is now back training with the rest of his team-mates ahead of the Premier League’s restart later this month.
The footie star moved to Nottingham Forest in the summer to gain regular football and is being paid a basic salary of £80,000 per week.
He told reporters he could have moved abroad for ‘a lot of money’ but wanted to stay in the Premier League.
