A MUM who murdered her two-year-old son after leaving chilling notes around the house has today been jailed for life.
Daniel James Hodgson Green was found "motionless" in a bed next to Carol Hodgson, 39, at their home in Guisborough, North Yorks.
Sadly nothing could be done to save the toddler, who was discovered with blood on his Babygro.
His killer mum was also rushed to hospital after being found next to Daniel in cardiac arrest with her neck slashed.
Hodgson told paramedics at the scene: "Just let me die".
A note was found at the home that read: "Ring the police please, don’t go into the bedroom you don’t need to see this.
"I love you and I am sorry.”

The court was told how Hodgson's mum discovered her daughter and grandson at home on February 2 after she was due to appear in court for a custody hearing.
Notes were found around the home – including one that claiming the only way to protect Daniel was for Hodgson to "take him with her".
Paramedics arrived to find Hodgson receiving CPR as stricken Daniel lay next to her on the bed.
They battled to save the youngster but he was declared dead around 40 minutes later in hospital.
A post-mortem was unable to establish a cause of death but doctors were unable to rule out suffocation.
Detective Inspector Matt Hollingsworth of Cleveland Police said: "The loss of Daniel, at such a young age, is beyond comprehension.
"I'd like to thank all the team who have worked on this harrowing investigation and ensured that we could bring this matter to court."
Christopher Atkinson, head of the crown court unit at CPS North East, said the "tragic sequence of events" which led to the little boy's death had now been established.
