A Queens man made a death-defying leap from an elevated subway platform to a neighboring store roof as he tried to flee from cops.

Kendall Floyd, 25, was initially pulled over for driving without a seatbelt at the an intersection in Brooklyn, shortly after 4pm on Wednesday.

But the altercation quickly escalated after Floyd struck his vehicle door open, wounded an officer in the arm, and fled the scene, The New York Post reported.

He was then cornered by police at an intersection about three minutes away, but refused to surrender and instead scaled the support beam of a raised subway platform and onto the elevated tracks.

As terrified onlookers and police officers begged him to climb down, Floyd made the death-defying leap from the tracks to a roof.

He was later arrested and transported to Woodhull Medical Center, where he was treated for a leg injury. It’s unclear how severe his injury was.

The suspect was cornered by police near Broadway & Thornton, but refused to surrender and instead climbed a stanchion pole and onto elevated subway tracks

During Floyd’s escape attempt, officers cornered him three blocks away but Floyd seemed determined to evade police and tried his luck by making the jump.

‘Don’t do it, man! It’s not worth it!’ a man recording the incident pleaded with Floyd.

After Floyd landed on the roof of the business, the video shows officers trying to gain access to the roof by climbing a next-door fence.

Floyd has been charged with assault on a police officer, reckless endangerment and official misconduct.

Floyd also faces charges for false personation, two counts of criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and a seatbelt violation.

According to the Post, squads followed him closely behind after he fled the site where he had been pulled over.

Records obtained by DailyMail.com show that Floyd was set to be released from parole in late 2023.

He was arrested in 2017 and charged with burglary in the third degree. Floyd was released from prison in 2019.
