Meghan urges men to speak out as she tells of Harry’s reaction to abortion ban
Meghan Markle has revealed how the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade case brought a “guttural” reaction from husband Prince Harry.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, the Duchess of Sussex, speaking with veteran political activist Gloria Steinem, said that men needed to speak up more about the Supreme Court’s move – and Harry was definitely doing his bit.
“Men need to be vocal in this moment, and beyond,” Meghan said, “because these are decisions that affect relationships, families, and communities at large”.
“They may target women,” the Duchess added, “but the consequences impact all of us.
"My husband and I talked about that a lot over the past few days. He’s a feminist too”

Ms Steinem, a pioneer of the American feminist movement since the late 1960s, said that she could testify to Harry’s feminist credentials.
“I met him before I met you [Meghan],” she said. “He was at a big meeting I attended and he was advocating for people’s rights”.
The shocking Supreme Court decision, which effectively criminalises abortion in large parts of the US, brought a strong reaction from both the Duke and Duchess.
“His reaction last week was guttural, like mine,” Meghan said, adding that while it might be tempting to give up, now is a time for anyone who supports women’s rights to band together and “do the work”.
Opposition to the court’s decision has sprung up everywhere. Many women from the US say they are going on a 'sex strike' after their abortion rights were overturned, and OnlyFans star Mia Khalifa said: "Conservatives don’t deserve to hit it raw anyways."
At Glastonbury, Olivia Rodrigo was joined by Lily Allen for a duet of “F*** You” dedicated to the Supreme Court judges and WWE presenter Kayla Braxton, voicing her opposition to the decision, after shockingly revealing she was conceived as the result of a rape.
Oklahoma state representative Mickey Dollens said he was thinking of introducing legislation to make vasectomies compulsory, saying”If you think that's crazy then I think that maybe you understand how 50% of Oklahomans feel, as well.”
