HOAX reports that Michael J. Fox had died have sparked outrage after sick rumours swept the web.
The false reports claimed the 62-year-old ‘Back to the Future’ star had passed away but he became the latest victim of sick death hoaxes.
The rumour led to an angry backlash with social media users quick to point out he had not died.
“Michael J Fox is not dead, despite what a death hoax tried to make fans believe – I’m glad he is alive,” wrote on Twitter user.
Another said: “Michael J Fox is not dead. People are trying to fool us.”
Others expressed their anger more forcefully with one writing: “Michael J Fox is not dead and f*** you to whoever started this b*******.’

In 2018 reports claimed the actor died on from pneumonia days after checking into hospital with complications from Parkinson’s Disease.
But the false report was posted on a site that was designed to trick readers they were reading a Yahoo! News article.
He did not respond or comment on the death hoax at the time.
Fox is most famous for appearing in the ‘Back To The Future’ trilogy and his campaigning work to find a cure for Parkinson's disease.

He became a household name playing time travelling teen Marty McFly in Back To The Future in 1985, releasing two more instalments in the series over the following five years.
He was diagnosed with the onset of Parkinson's – a long-term degenerative disorder of the nervous system – in 1991 aged 29, but kept his condition secret for seven years.
The actor went public with his illness in 1998 and quit the show in 2000, throwing himself into being a campaigner and activist for Parkinson's research.
He married actress Tracy Pollan in 1988 and they have four children together – son Sam Michael, 31, twins Aquinnah Kathleen and Schuyler Frances, 25, and 19-year-old Esme.
