A careless delivery driver allegedly left a terrified pensioner trapped inside her own home after jamming a parcel under her door handle – and it wasn’t even addressed to her.
Upstairs neighbour Charlie Clarke, 39, claimed her son George, 20, heard their elderly neighbour Dee screaming for help through the floorboards.
Dee, believed to be in her 70s, was forced to shout from the raised patio of her ground-floor flat and beg for help.

The elderly woman told her neighbours that her door handle would not budge and she couldn’t get out.
Charlie rushed downstairs to free a scared Dee and when she arrived at the front door she found the tall parcel wedged under the door handle.
The lash technician moved the parcel and freed Dee, who said she nearly called the fire brigade.
Charlie has now hit out at the Yodel delivery driver, blasting him as a “d***head” and “incompetent” – adding the incident could have been deadly in the event of a fire.
Charlie, from Crystal Palace, London, said: "It's absolutely shocking. Delivery drivers are so careless. It was so bad.
"Was it malicious or just complete carelessness? I think it's just incompetence. It could have been really dangerous. It's definitely a fire hazard.
"My son came in and said Dee was calling me from down on her patio. She said she couldn't open the door as it was jammed.
"She was panicking a little bit. She didn't know what was wrong with the door because the handle was moving a little bit.
"She said if I wasn't in, she would have called the fire brigade but she was absolutely fine. I managed to rescue her."
Dee allegedly told Charlie that she hadn’t heard the driver knock on the door, and added that the parcel was not actually addressed to her.
Charlie also claims the hallway is large and empty so the parcel could have been left in a more suitable spot.
She said: "It's a communal hallway and he put it right under her handle. What a d***head."
"I asked if she was expecting it and she wasn't. It wasn't even for her. It was for a completely different postcode.
"The companies that use these drivers must be losing thousands in stock. We could have easily kept it. It's crazy."
A Yodel spokesperson said: "The safe delivery of parcels is our number one priority. We have protocols in place for parcel delivery and the overwhelming majority are delivered correctly first time.
"We are in the process of carrying out a full investigation on this situation and will take appropriate action once this has come to a conclusion."
