- The women claimed they met da Silva on Tinder and were fooled into giving him money to cover phony expenses

A group of women in Brazil are now singing the blues after the man they all dated allegedly conned them into loaning them $338,000.
The victims revealed they met Caio da Silva through Tinder and developed relationships with him before they were tricked into providing him money to cover debts, Brazilian news magazine Fantastico reported.
Da Silva, who was convicted for embezzlement in 2019, would introduce himself with a different last name on the dating platforms.
In addition, he claimed to be a successful music producer as well as a composer for country music singers in the South American nation, but showed enough affection with each relationship he struck despite his made-up, busy life in the industry.
Caio da Silva is being accused by nine women in Brazil of scamming them out of $338,000. The victims alleged they met da Silva on dating apps and that he asked them for loans that were never paid back
Talita Silva, a Rio de Janeiro lawyer, managed to get back $9,000 that she had loaned to Caio da Silva while they dated
Of all the alleged victims, Talita Silva, a lawyer, is the only one to have recovered all of her money, getting da Silva to pay back $9,900.
She recalled da Silva would take her on dinner dates to restaurants, where he knew ‘everyone,’ and never shied away from covering the bill at the end of every night.
‘His profile caught my attention because from the beginning he demonstrated and said that he didn’t want anything casual,’ Silva told the outlet.
She claimed she was first conned by da Silva when he mentioned he was unable to pay a fine that was placed on his farm because his banking account was blocked and gave him about $4,000.
On another occasion, he asked to use her credit or banking card to make several purchases, spending $9,900 on clothes, fragrances and restaurants and promising to pay her back at a later date.
She noticed a change in his mood when she told him she was no longer interested in being placed in a ‘situation’ in which she had to loan him money.
As she sought out more information on da Silva, she discovered her boyfriend had lied about his last name and that he was really from São Paulo, not Rio de Janeiro.
Another victim, who did not disclose her name, allegedly experienced the same treatment Silva was exposed to in the early stages of her relationship and fell for da Silva quickly.
‘I thought he was a handsome guy, very charming, he had a lot of talk,’ she said. ‘And then he already conquers in conversations. That’s what he posts a lot in his videos, right, giving tips to women on what the perfect type of man is.’
To gain his victims’ confidence, da Silva introduced them to his immediate family members, including his children.
One of them claimed how she often joined him to visit his grandmother at a nursing home.
Talita Silva said she uncovered her former boyfriend, Caio da Silva, was lying about his last name and who he really was after her friends had convinced her that he had conned her out of $9,900

Another of the accusing women claimed to have fallen victim after he approached her about needing money to cover an expense, but that he was unable to do so because his card was blocked.
She couldn’t say no because she had built trust in him.
‘Then you are already in the family,’ she said. ‘You end up believing that the story is real.’
Another victim who was conned by da Silva reportedly feared for her life due to the constant beatings he exposed her to.
‘He bit me a lot. He bit me in the face,’ she said. ‘I thought I was going to die. It was really sad.’
According to the Fantastico, da Silva is the focus of five investigations.
His attorneys told the outlet he is ‘innocent of all accusations’ and that it would be proven in court.
