Russian TV predicts nuclear ‘Armageddon’ as Putin ships missiles from Siberia

Russian President Vladimir Putin is ramping up his nuclear propaganda after a Kremlin-run television channel put together a “highlight package” of what to expect if nuclear war broke out.

The odd, and frankly terrifying footage was shown on Russian gas company Gazprom-owned NTV and showed video footage of a potential Armageddon aftermath if Putin were to hit the red button.

The sequence was called “In anticipation of nuclear conflict – how weapons of mass destruction have become part of the geopolitical game.”

The video blames “the West” for talking about nuclear war too much – despite Putin threatening everyone with nukes just two weeks ago.

The channel appeared to warn that the West should “cave” in to Putin’s demands on Ukraine and the threat of nuclear war would “diminish”.

"We’re in a situation in which superiority in resources and conventional weaponry is on the side of the West,” said Vasily Kashin, a military and political analyst at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.

“Russia’s power is based on its nuclear arsenal.”

It came at the same time that a new surge of war equipment was spotted being moved from thousands of miles away in Siberia.

A video showed armaments heading west from Krasnoyarsk, some 3,000 miles from the war zone, just a few hours after the head of Russia’s Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, called for nuclear weapons to be used in Ukraine.

He issued the statement to Putin on Saturday following Russia’s defeat in the Ukrainian city of Lyman.

Russian troops were forced to retreat after they were surrounded by Ukraine’s military in the city, which is located in the Donetsk region near the border with Luhansk.

The Russian Defence Ministry confirmed that troops "retreated to more advantageous lines”.

It poses a large problem for Russia, as their military had been using Lyman as a transportation hub.

In response, Kadyrov, a Putin ally who has supported the invasion of Ukraine, penned a Telegram post in which he stated the president should strike Ukraine with "low-yield nuclear weapons" in retaliation.

It read: "I don't know what the RF Ministry of Defence reports to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, but in my personal opinion, more drastic measures should be taken, up to the declaration of martial law in the border areas and the use of low-yield nuclear weapons.

“It is not necessary to take every decision with an eye on the Western American community – it has already said so and done a lot against us.”
