THIS is the shocking moment a brawling man is smashed in the face with a glass bottle – leaving him covered in blood.
Armed cops raced to a bathing spot near Ilkley, West Yorkshire at around 6pm on Saturday after the man was struck in the eye.
The riverside was packed with families enjoying the sunshine when a large crowd of young men and women turned up on Saturday afternoon.
Two men had a fall out and started to roll around on the ground fighting until one lashed out with the bottle.
The other man was left with blood pouring down his face as his friends looked on in disbelief.
In a bizarre turn of events, his attacker came back to try and help him.

An air ambulance was scrambled to the scene of the attack at a busy swimming spot by the Yorkshire river.
The air ambulance circled above the river but in the end did not land and returned to base.
The afternoon had already been soured by antisocial behaviour with people turning up and drinking heavily and taking drugs, according to people who were there.
It is understood that West Yorkshire Police checked passengers on trains returning to Leeds from the area in the hunt for suspects.

Eye witnesses said the fight broke out close to the water.
The man needed stitches around his right eye but it is understood his sight was not affected.
After the footage was shared on social media, a man appearing to be the victim said: "I’m all good – minor cuts."
West Yorkshire Police said: "Police were called at 5.28pm on Saturday to a report of an assault in Beanlands Parade, Ilkley where a male was found with a head injury.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are continuing.
"Armed officers were deployed after it was initially reported that a knife was involved and that people had been stabbed.
"This was found not to be the case and that the incident involved two males who were believed to be known to each other.
"Enquiries at the scene suggested that the other male had potentially got on a train to Leeds, but he was not located."

Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 5.23pm on Saturday afternoon to report a male who had been assaulted by the River Wharfe in Ilkley.
"An ambulance and rapid response vehicle were dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to Airedale General Hospital."
