Site where evil dad Chris Watts dumped his kids after killing them demolished

The site where killer dad Chris Watts dumped the bodies of his victims has been demolished.

Well site Cervi 319 near Frederick in Colorado, US, was reportedly "scheduled to be decommissioned before" Watts left the remains of his pregnant wife and their two children to decompose there back in 2018, according to crime scene reports.

And now internet sleuths have reported that the site has finally been destroyed nearly five years after the murders.

Oil field operator Watts killed his partner Shan'ann, who was 15 weeks pregnant with a son at the time, as well as their daughters Bella, four, and Celeste, three, on August 13 of that year by smothering them.

The killer, 37, initially claimed he didn't know where his family was, allowing police to investigate their home and even giving tearful interviews to national news networks pleading for information about his wife and daughters' whereabouts.

But just two days after the murders Watts confessed to killing his wife during a police interview.

He later admitted to the murder of his two daughters.

The remains of his victims were found a day after he was arrested at the Anadarko Petroleum site where Watts worked at the time.

Investigators found 34-year-old Shan'ann's body in a shallow grave, curled up in the "foetal position" with her knees "pulled up to her chest" and facing "down into the ground".

Bella and Celeste's remains were found at the bottom of oil tanks at the same site.

Watts pleaded guilty to all three murders on November 6 and was subsequently handed five life sentences.

He was also sentenced to a further 48 years without the possibility of parole for the unlawful termination of his wife's pregnancy, and 36 years for three counts of tampering with a deceased human body.

"Upon the completion of emptying the east tank, a juvenile female victim believed to be Celeste Watts, was found buried in crude oil sludge at the bottom of the east tank," a crime scene report read.

"After the recovery of the victim from the east tank, the west tank was drained under the same procedural guidelines.

"Again, found in the bottom of the tank, in the crude oil sludge was the second juvenile female victim believed to be Bella Watts."

A since-deleted YouTube video showed drone footage taken at the site of the abandoned plant, with users speculating whether or not it had finally been demolished.

And one internet sleuth on Reddit seemed to have the answer.

"Yes – the installation has been removed," they wrote.

"Last production information is December 2019 and the well records show it as plugged and abandoned. It was 21 years old and a low producing well before the Watts tragedy."
