Swimmer dies after getting into difficulty while in sea off Hythe | The Sun
A SWIMMER has died after getting into difficulty while in the sea.
The man tragically passed away this morning after entering the water in Hythe, Kent.
Ambulance crews were called to the beachfront around 7.50am to reports that a person needed medical attention.
An Air Ambulance rushed to the scene shortly after.
The man, who has not yet been identified, could not be saved and died at the scene.
South East Cost Ambulance Service said: "South East Coast Ambulance Service was called at approximately 7.50am today (18 July) to West Parade, Hythe, to reports of a person who had been in the water in need of medical attention.

"Ambulance crews attended and were joined at the scene by emergency service colleagues and the Kent, Surrey, Sussex Air Ambulance Service.
"Sadly, despite the best effort of all those involved, including those who helped prior to our arrival, the person died at the scene."
Kent Police also attended to help assist.
