UK weather – Brits to bask in 20C sun this weekend…but make the most of it while it lasts | The Sun

BRITS are set to bask in sunshine this weekend – but the good weather won’t last long.

The mercury is set to rise to 20C on Sunday, giving the UK a taste of summer.

But by Monday temperatures will plunge back down to an unseasonably cold 10C.

The Met Office predict the weather will begin to improve this afternoon with temperatures reaching 19C in Plymouth and Cardiff.

Forecasters say things will be “cool and breezy” across the east and southeastern areas with a small chance of rain.

But by this afternoon the west will begin to feel much "warmer with sunny spells" on the cards.

The mercury will once again hit 19C in London and Manchester.

Temperatures will continue to climb on Sunday, with the BBC predicting temperatures of 20C.

However, on Monday rain will move in across Britain, which will cause temperatures to plunge.

Despite the fact there will still be sunny spells, the Met Office’s weather maps show many cities like Manchester will only see highs of 10C.

It comes after the UK was yesterday hit with a yellow weather warning for rain.
