THE Met Office has warned parts of the UK will be battered with thunderstorms and possible flooding today.
Brits have spent the last few weeks basking in highs of 30C, but the weather is now taking a turn.
The risk of heavy, thundery showers is likely to hit at the start of this week, say the weather service.
And for some, thunderstorms are continued to be expected "with a more unsettled weekend of weather on the way".
Frequent showers are being predicted in the northeast of the country – but conditions are still feeling quite warm.
A yellow warning for rain is in place in Scotland on Monday until around midday.
