US politician ‘told to join OnlyFans’ is ‘excited’ to become grandma at just 36

American politician, businesswoman, and gun rights activist has enthused about becoming a grandmother at 36 as her eldest boy and his girlfriend are expecting a baby boy.

Lauren Boebert's teenager Tyler, the oldest of her four sons, turns 18 on March 21, 2023.

The gun-loving legislator recently made headlines after an opponent joked Boebert should "join OnlyFans", prompting a conversation about sexism and women's rights to decide what happens to their bodies.

The news of Tyler's expectancy was shared during Tuesday's 'Moms for America' event, as Boebert enthused about Tyler following in her footsteps.

Speaking at the event, Lauren recalled her own journey with teenage pregnancy: "I was a brand-new mom, I had to make hard decisions on successfully raising my child, or getting to high school biology class. And I chose to take care of my child."

After leaving high school early, Boebert began working as an assistant manager at McDonald's in Rifle, Colarado, reports WION.

She then married Jayson Boebert in 2007, and began working in an administrative position for a natural gas drilling company before adopting a hands-on role as a pipeliner.

In 2020, she began her political journey – earning a GED certificate (a high school diploma), a month before her first selection primary.

At the Moms for America event, Boebert harked back to the conversation in which her son revealed the shocking news of his girlfriend's pregnancy.

"Well, didn’t you make granny a 36-year-old granny?" asked Boebert's son, to which she replied "Yes."

She explained that Tyler's young parenthood feels "hereditary."

"We are so excited to welcome this new life into our family," the US Congresswoman added, on behalf of herself and her husband.

Taking a keen interest in her son's journey to becoming a father is perhaps connected to her denouncement of abortion.

Being completely against abortion, Boebert praised rural conservative communities, explaining teenage girls in rural areas who become pregnant are more likely to continue the pregnancy to full term, "[valuing life]".

Her son's revelation also arrives in the wake of criticism against her campaign, after the lawmaker spoke against funding "comprehensive sex education" in public schools during a Conservative Political Action Conference event.

She believes schools shouldn't teach students how to have or enjoy intercourse, but did not mention if she thinks "prevention or abstinence" should be taught to students.
