A 37-YEAR-OLD dad has died after allegedly being assaulted by intruders at a South Manchester home.
Warren Burns, 37, was attacked on Sunday 21 May at the Fallowfield home – rushed to hospital with devastating injuries.
But Greater Manchester Police have today confirmed the dad-of-one died from his injuries four days later on May 25.
One man – Brandon White, 21 – has been charged with attempted murder.
Another man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is still being quizzed by cops after the tragedy unfolded on Heysham Avenue.
A 19-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Warren's family paid tribute to the 37-year-old, saying: “Warren was a much loved son, brother and partner and had only just become a father which he absolutely loved.
"He was a larger than life character with a gentle soul, often referred to as a gentle giant. He was very fun loving, and livened up any event he attended. Life will not be the same without him.
"It’s heart-breaking that he will never see his son grow up and experience all that life has to offer.
"He was simply was the best, a true Legend and he will be greatly missed.”

They are being supported by specialist officers.
Detective Chief Inspector Nichola McCulloch of GMP's Major Incident Team said: "This is a shocking incident which has resulted in a tragic death and the investigation team are working around the clock to find and arrest those responsible and bring them to justice."
