A WOMAN who took out her rubbish in her knickers received a mortifying note with an awkward request.

Posting under the username Emily, she uploaded the awkward exchange in a hilarious TikTok video.

Emily revealed she had been taking out her garbage in an oversized hoodie – but her neighbour was less than pleased.

The post explained how she had received a letter from the anonymous neighbour requesting her to cover up.

The note in question read: “Hi, my husband can see you on our ring camera.

“Please put pants on when you take out your trash! Your neighbour.”

And Emily joked in the caption: “Nah I’m good luv (sic) enjoy.”

As expected, TikTokers were quick to take to the comment section to share their thoughts on the video.

One quipped: "Write back: Thanks but I'm good. Talk to your husband, not me."

"The husband probably doesn’t mind I bet," joked a second.

However, others defended the wife's letter and considered her concerns "pretty valid".

One TikToker commented: "That’s pretty valid and at least she’s being nice and pointing out the issue so it doesn’t become an ongoing problem."

And a second wrote: “I don’t see a problem with the note at all – common courtesy.”

In a follow-up video, she shared a clip of herself wearing the outfit in question.

“I’ve been wearing this sweatshirt for three days straight now,” she said, while holding her rubbish bag.
