Aaron Taylor-Johnson 'meets with James Bond producers'

Aaron Taylor-Johnson has met with 007 producers amid rumours he is he’s tipped to be the next James Bond.
The actor, 32, met to discuss the iconic role following Daniel Craig’s exit from the franchise after his fifth appearance as the secret agent in 2021 smash No Time To Die.
According to Puck News Aaron’s sat down with producer Barbara Broccoli and sources claim the meeting went ‘very well’ after he reportedly filmed a secret audition late last year.

However the source went on to say that nothing was officially confirmed and it’s unclear what any next steps might be.
MailOnline have contacted reps for both Aaron and Barbara for comment.
In December it was reported that Aaron had shot scenes as the secret agent, filming the memorable ‘gun barrel teaser footage’ seen in the films over the years.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘Aaron has impressed bosses so much that he has filmed one of the franchise’s famous gun barrel teaser scenes, something all the actors do. That move takes him a step closer to signing a deal.’
They added: ‘Bosses at the brand were really impressed with his unique blend of acting intensity and his impressive back catalogue of action films.’

The publication reported a month earlier that Aaron was a hit with producers and particularly impressed producer Barbara.
‘Aaron went for a screen test to be the next Bond in September and producers and Barbara loved him. He is now one of the front-runners,’ a source told the publication at the time.
Aaron, who is married to Fifty Shades Of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson, 55, has starred in the Kick-Ass movies, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Godzilla.

It follows reports that Idris Elba walked away from ‘years of talks’ with movie bosses to become the next Bond, paving the way for a new 007.
Bookmakers William Hill subsequently placed Henry Cavill at the forefront with 5/2, Regé Jean-Page with odds of 4/1, followed by Tom Hardy and James Norton both with 6/1 and Chiwetel Ejiofor at 7/1.
Henry, 39, recently revealed he was leaving The Witcher, with Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth stepping into the role as Geralt of Rivia.
Daniel Craig, 54, has starred in five of the Bond films, from Casino Royale to No Time to Die.
